What brands are true to the sidewall dimensions

. . . What brands of tires are true to their size? I'm looking for 33's that are actually 33. Or, at least some 32s that actually are 32. I don't want to get 33s only to find they are like 32.1 or something. . . .

. . . What brands/tire models are truly the size they claim to be? Preferably only imperial/standard tire sizes i hate the metric ones. . . .

My jeep is my daily driver and i do offroad some mild to moderate trails and whatever i can find, and see a lot of mud, so i would like tires that are good for both like the KO2. (90-95% paved/dirt roads) . . . .

The sizes on the sidewall are industry standard nominal measurements. Due to tread and carcass differences, mold sizes, etc., the actual dimensions of a particular tire will vary from tire model to tire model, even for the same manufacturer. The good news is that in addition to third party sites like tiresize.com, nearly every tire manufacturer lists the actual dimensions for each tire they sell in easily accessible online charts.

For example, the actual size of each BFG KO2 tire can be found here: https://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/upload/bfgoodrich/specifications/specs-all-terrain-t-a-ko2.pdf

Cooper Discoverer STT Pro tire sizes are here: http://us.coopertire.com/tires/discoverer-stt-pro.aspx

Cooper Discoverer ST/Maxx sizes are here: http://us.coopertire.com/tires/discoverer-s-t-maxx.aspx

Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3 sizes are here: http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/light-truck-tires/baja-atz-p3#sizes

BTW - I think highly of the BFG KO2, Cooper STT Pro, Cooper ST/Maxx and Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3 for the uses you describe.

Now should I start a new thread or ask anyway about this? I guess it's related in my opinion. So with a 3.25-3.5 lift, could I get away with say BFG ko2s since they are technically only 32.5 inches and people say 3 is good enough for 32s? Or is 3 good enough for 32s that are actually more like 31.5?

Does the same apply to 33s? A 3.75-4 inch lift as the minimum for 33s, since they are often more like 32.5, could I fit 32.5 tires with a 3.25 -3.5 inch lift? Opinions?

Try not to over complicate this. When people say that a certain size tire requires a certain degree of lift, they are providing a general rule of thumb based upon tire sidewall labels and industry standard nominal sizes, not actual tire diameters of specific tires.

Best of luck with your tire search.
