Thank you!! No not rly, I used a good T40 torque bit and ratchet. With a bit of pressure the bolts popped without heat, oil etc. only real work was removing wiper assembly (super easy) and then removing the wiper/blower motor cover. Was glad to do bc I had to run my led wiring properly. Other than that it was easy. I recommend NOT using plasti dip. I did and had to remove it. I then used Bedliner spray that wasn't to textured. Came out great. Will be doing the rear hinges next then my doors. I will prob wait until it warms up since it affects the way the paint sets.

What does a seat lift do (other than raise the seat)? Does it give a better seating position or view?

It's commonly done on the 03-06 model TJs since they came with seats that sit much lower than those of the 97-02 Wranglers.

It will make you sit a little higher and make it easier to see over the hood (which is an issue with the later model TJs).

I didn't like how I couldn't see the entire hood and just generally felt to low in the seat. I don't mind not having a view of the hood in sports cars but when tackling an obstacle (or just trying to navigate a tight parking spot) I want to see where my corners are.

Pulled my semi new stereo out today... after working great for 4 days it just cut out on me... no power whatsoever. Wiring looked good and the fuses were fine. Now I have to send it to CA to get it fixed and have a hole in my dash for a month... oh well. The noise of the tires on pavement is music enough
