What did you do to your TJ today?

What about when I get out the tools I intend to use then forget what it was I intended to use them for ?

Just leave them out. That way they'll be ready when it comes back to you...and you'll look particularly brilliant for preparing ahead of time for the task. "Style that shit out", as the kids say... :D

Perhaps that’s easy for you. What about when I get out the tools I intend to use then forget what it was I intended to use them for ?

Oh I know all about that. On more than one occasion I've headed out to my garage for something and by the time I get there I've forgotten what the hell I was getting or doing or whatever so I go back to the house and start over. Of course I have to remember what I was doing or thinking about that sent me out in the first place.

Whenever my wife happens to be in the garage with me she reminds me “you are forgetting where you put that tool all the time, what has happened to you?” I swear I take longer now as I put the tool where it’s supposed to be so I can find it when I need it next instead of just laying around while I use a different tool or whatever I need to do.

Going along with the forgetful theme. I installed a Radioddity QT40 10 meter radio in my TJR today. It will be used as a am/fm/ssb radio though. Pictures tomorrow. The forgetful part is, I ordered a swr meter and 12" jumper to check everything and seemed to have misplaced or tossed the jumper some how 🤔 I've looked every where for the damn jumper, and I must have accidentally thrown it away with a Amazon box.

What are you using for an antenna? I've bounced all over the place thinking about this - anything from a screwdriver antenna to a short push-up mast/tower mounted on the rear bumper.

I'm not real good with the radio stuff. I bought a fiberglass antenna combo from Wolcott's. I knew that I needed to replace the coax also. There was already a tail light mount on the driver's side, a Rough Country I believe, so I didn't use the one from Wolcott. The antenna is 3' and while I was playing the radio for a bit, it was receiving very well throughout the bands. I didn't try to transmit though without checking the swr's. I ordered another jumper for the swr meter and it should be here Wednesday. I heard someone from the south east, maybe Georgia? I think 🤔 I might try and make some contacts tomorrow just for shits and giggles. Sorry @Zorba, I don't think I'm much help. I'll definitely get some pictures up tomorrow for sure.

That depends on how deep you dig the hole. My Gnome keeps the neighbors away from my "garden". 🤫
