What did you do to your TJ today?

I had to drive to the DMV to renew my license today. I got there 40 minutes before they opened and there was already a line of 20 people waiting outside. They have 15 customer service windows for your convenience, but only 3 people working at them. I forgot how much I hate the DMV. 🤬

I'll wave to any jeep, especially if it's full of cute girls!

I generally wave if people wave at me. I kinda laugh at the guys in older Jeeps that refuse to wave at the newer ones, around my area that would mean never waving at all, since all the TJs and YJs rotted away 10+ years ago. I've had lots of guys in JKs and JLs tell me they had the same Jeep as mine 10 years ago but it rotted out. Another reason I keep mine out of the salt.

Knowing how much you love people, I bet you felt right at home......

I don't wave. I'm just not that friendly

That was the most people I've been forced to be around since High school. I didn't like it then either. 🤫😬

The CT DMV has an appointment system now. It does somewhat help with the wait time, but the issue is you need an appointment for everything and have to schedule stuff weeks in advance. When I bought my Grand Cherokee out of state they wanted me to make an appointment (a week or two out) to get a temporary plate, then schedule another appointment to register it with the DMV.

Needless to say I got it home through other means, but what a ridiculous system. I'll take showing up and waiting in line to do things when I need them done over this.

Put a real stereo into it. The Metra dash kit fit well but I ended up having to do a LOT of trial & error adjustments to get everything aligned behind it. No fun. And, as I already suspected, I’ll be ordering all new speakers. I’d have been surprised if any worked well enough to keep. Add speakers to the long list of things to replace….

A cheap self powered subwoofer in the back really helps. I just put one in that i can unplug. Filled out the sound and I can hear it easily at highway speeds with no top or doors
