What did you do to your TJ today?

Can you drive your Jeep through it and post pics with food and a Mountain Dew? At low tide of course. ;)

How did I know you were going to say that !! haha. Like most of these stunning places I go to its, park at the top of the hill and hike down. Cathedral cove is about a 45 min walk along the coast. Getting there is great as its all downhill....but coming back its a killer in the heat of Summer.

Not to my TJ just yet,

Bought the Crown OPDA from Amazon. I was slightly PO and scared when it arrived today.

The box wasn't taped shut. :eek:

Opened the bix and everything looks fine so I'm OK now.

It looks like it's worth the walk. I bet it's a 15 minute drive at night with a couple of Dews in you and your newly lifted Jeep. (y) 🥳

Love to hear this kinda thing... going against the norm of college. We are not sheep.
Seems funny to me when at 19 that's a 'young' age to start a job haha I started my apprenticeship when I was 17, straight out of school and into the work force. It felt great to be learning and earning.
I never looked back even with 3 career changes and a country change with new cultures to adapt to.....life is for living, grab it by the horns.

I had no idea what I was doing once I finished school.. just worked for the family business for a while then moved states, went to Uni but got bored so worked various jobs from basic support to management roles... eventually moved back to my home state and went into the mining and construction sector which i did for a fair while and enjoyed it plus the pay is excellent here in Aus.. eventually tried uni again and got bored again so stuck with the former work.

Eventually in my super late 30s I took the plunge with the support of my wife to change careers to one that I had wanted to pursue for a very long time. It pays significantly less (pretty much halved my pay) but the job satisfaction and work/life balance is fantastic.

Could I have done things better in my former years? Absolutely, I squandered my large income (although we are most certainly still living comfortably) but I wouldn't change it as it's given me an amazing wife, 2 brilliant kids and a lot of fun memories and led me to a job I love.

Follow your own path, try new things and take it all as a learning process. Some people have things figured out from day 1 others like me take 40 years

Very good post. It doesn’t matter how perfect you play your game…. We all die in the end.

What would we tell our younger selves?

Me-Relax and trust the process, and know that good things will work out, but don’t be so committed to how you think it has to look.

Ironically, I really respect the power of having a good vision- but don’t envision only one certain thing will make you happy because then anything else will mandate that you’re unhappy. It can come in a lot of forms and can come from a lot of different directions.

If I’m going to be so philosophical, I might as well add that if you think happiness means being happy all the time you’re in for a rude awakening .

You have to find things that make you happy enough to carry you through all the bull crap you can’t stand.

We can't take it with us this we need to enjoy it while we are here. The last 2 years I've adopted the mindset to take or do the adventure and spend the money. Spending time with my kids when they are young and wants to be with me is my main focus. I want zero regrets when I'm dying.
