What did you do to your TJ today?

Yah, that is a nice one. I thought about a mirror style one but honestly I was going for cheap in price range. I also like the camera on the back. The mirror style one looks like it only records in the cabin of the car and the forward cam.

Today I got to test mine out. It survived being parked in Walmart parking lot so, so far so good. LOL It doesn't record to bad. I think I can actually set the resolution to record even better, I haven't played with it too much. There are also light settings and all, again, haven't played with it. In the videos the trees come out pink. LOL I live in a fairytale town. :D

I do like that it records both front and back. It keeps a folder for both. Only thing I have
noticed is the sensitivity for "Locking" the video is pretty sensitive. It's supposed to lock it if it feels a jolt. Well, it's a Jeep, it has lots of jolts going down the road. LOL Not to big of a deal, but just means I will probably have to clear the SD card more often. If it doesn't lock them, it would just loop over them when the SD card is full. Again, not that big of a deal.

Here is a really short video of the front camera. I had to trim it down to about 9 seconds for it to load onto the forum.

Here is the back camera. It has the pink trees in it. LOL

Sounds like Melissa McCarthy with a little pent up road rage there at the end. :ROFLMAO: Damn lady drivers can't get there stuff in gear. Must be all the pink trees distracting her.

I had previously painted the headlight trim rings black and it didn’t do all that much for me so I decided to paint them body color.

FYI I used international harvester red tractor paint from TSC, rattle can.

I did my first brake job today! I installed Black Magic front pads and rotors on my 2005 LJ, and it was a fairly smooth process. The most challenging step was getting the 35" tires back on the wheel studs, haha. Those dudes are heavy.

Started cutting up my 4x8 sheet of DP. Cutting and fitting the over the windshield shelf first. Getting a feel for cutting it. I’ll try to finish up cutting tomorrow. Bought Dorian supplies today, need to mow again before the rains come.

Installed my custom bike rack setup in my JKU. Driving from San Diego to Tahoe along the 395 next weekend. Woohoo!

Meanwhile, we got the transmission cross member and skid plate back on the TJ this morning and it shifts like butter with fresh oil. And the new tcase shifter cable works flawlessly.

I drove it 1600km, 1000miles. Towing a 1500# Square Drop Trailer.

The TJ scales at 4160#
The OSB BOX plus the trailer at 1560#

I just finished a 1700km tour. 1500# and lighter is fabulous in the mountains with a 4.0L TJ. I also tow a work trailer that is 2100#, it can maintain 60mph but you might be down 3 gears and running 4800rpm in the mountains.1500# lets you hit 70mph passing trucks on a mountain 3 lane with ease.

For 500km I ran highway speeds averaging 100km/hr. I averaged 14mpg. Next 500km I ran averaged 85km/hr, Rarely passing, trying to never exceed 100km/hr. And I averaged 18mpg. Building my trailer, I never considered weight. It is sheeted in OSB, the heaviest & cheapest choice. And it is a BOX, zero consideration for aerodynamics.

Honestly, for wheelers who tread lightly, this is the BEST country ever.
