Over here in Arkansas. If ya don’t have one. You may have to turn around. That’s on my list. Been getting lucky. That is uncommon to carry in the SW desert.
Reminds me of these guys.Closest I've come was the Angry Eye headlight mod on my old RGU. Don't have the bike anymore and have no plans on adding anything like it to my new CVO RGU.
This isn't mine but shows the headlight mod.

It looked good.If I had to choose between an angry eye on my Jeep or my Harley I'd do the Harley every time. It isn't quite are intrusive or fugly looking.
Why did you cut the holes and how/why does the foam rings in front help/work? Very interested in getting optimal volume out of mine. That's what I'm running, Kickers and the foam baffles. I cut a 1" hole in the back of the baffles though. Adding foam rings to the frontside will noticeably increase volume.
In the event u aren’t happy, the pods helped my polks sound decent to me and later really nice once powered by an amp.Decided to pull the trigger in some 5.25 dash speakers from Crutchfield. Opted not to get the dash pods, just settled on the foam baffles for $7. Hoping the kickers make a difference!
So your saying “dare to be different.” Got it!That is uncommon to carry in the SW desert.

You seem to be in my neighborhood. Welcome to the forum.Front driveshaft rebuild. The u joints in the double cardan were knock, knock, knocking on heaven's door.
It took the better part of the day- most of the time was spent running to O'Reilly, then NAPA, then NAPA again, then two O'Reilly's again trying to get all of the correct parts.
Learned that you'll want the following parts (O'Reilly/NAPA)
607 / UJ-607 which is the double cardan centering yoke: https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/...7215b/precision-centering-yoke/opj0/607?pos=0
Three u joints of your choice (5-153x / 1310)
And since I stripped out the heads on the bolts as I removed them, the $7 strap and bolt kit from NAPA (part UJS UJ43710).
Total cost was around $120, which is about what I would've paid for the parts online. The advantage was getting it done today and not waiting two weeks for shipping.
Thanks! I've spent hours lurking here solving TJ problems, finally decided to join. I've been on other forums in the past- for my WJ (RIP), CJ-5, and MGB. Looking forward to contributing. You seem to be in my neighborhood. Welcome to the forum.
I think it depends on the age of the cactus and where you touch them ...!!I think it's a federal crime to touch a cactus.

Nice, makes complete sense. Where did you get the foam for the front of speaker? Thanks for responding!View attachment 315507

And the rear:

The foam rings direct sound out through the grilles, keeping it from being lost inside the dash. The difference was so noticeable that I had to adjust the fader control a click rearward. The holes, front and rear, allow the speakers to breathe - they're not tuned, but they keep the speaker from alternately compressing and rarefying the air inside the enclosure. There *are* ways to have a completely sealed enclosure, but I don't know enough, etc, etc.. An A/B comparison with the rears (using my thumb to block the port) showed much better sound - when the port was blocked, the sound energy was transferred to the enclosure itself making a rather bad rumbley rattle. YMMV and all that.
