What did you do to your TJ today?

Finally repaired the non-existent defrost vent on my dash.

Took some 1/4" chicken wire and glued it down to replace the beyond brittle plastic, though I only had two little sections remaining after 25 years of sitting in the sun.

Nice fix, and counter tops. We have the same ones and love them.
I was able to find a new to me defrost panel at Davies for a very reasonable $25.

I replaced the clear running lights with original orange which involved me digging out the parts Jeep in the freezing cold and snow yesterday. All that just for my dad to accidentally bump and break one on the side 😐

Driving home from grocery shopping this morning…. And bam!! 💥 instantly sounded like I was driving a diesel….
Had a look underneath and looks like one of the exhaust mounts broke loose and tore a hole in the exhaust right above the skid plate. 🙁

When I built my skid plate, I had to cut the exhaust off right passed the starter to fit and reroute. I've been lazy and not put it back together yet. 4.0s sound scary raw @80 lol

Yeah it would be deafining too.... I'm not driving her now till Thursday when she booked it to get welded up again..
First weekend I haven't worked in about 6 weeks so now my weekend away is down the toilet.
( I seem to be going through a phase of breaking shit on the TJ at the moment, its doing my head in haha)

Went back to the lake-all this is spring “pre- fishing “ to find the fish-

The crappie no showed. It was so cold my minnow net froze. 19 degrees. Ice was a problem on line guides.

We are fishing hard this weekend- will see what happens.

I went ahead and spent the money to build my sound system.

* Alpine w670 head unit
* Reverse Camera
* Hydra Marine amp (behind head unit)
* (4) Kicker speakers 6.5 (roll cage) 6x8 (Dash)
* Pioneer ts-wx140da 8" speaker under drivers seat.

All in around $800.00

This set up is LOUD and Bumps!

How did you run the wire through the tailgate for the camera?.. This aspect has been keeping me from plugging the camera into my Alpine set-up.

How fast did you have to drive to clear it off?

Warm up the Jeep, turn the heater on, and that powdery stuff melts. It's against the law in Va to drive with snow/ice on top of your vehicle. Too many lazy idiots here that drive on the highway and that crap blows off, hitting other vehicles windshields.
