What did you do to your TJ today?

Turns out the axle I bought from Facebook Marketplace.......the Gears howled after I installed
Longstory short I went to mock up one of my savvy control arms and I noticed diff fluid all under my Jeep smelled it before anything...
Turns out the pinion bearing is toast.

The pinion yoke moves a good <3/16ths of an inch front to back up&down ....that explains the even further gear howling noise I was having today....

Daughters jeep was the same way, only no howl. Also took it from Mansfield to Prosper up 190 & the tollway. And that’s the story of how I learned to do gears.

Thankfully I naturally am pretty good at doing gears, practiced on my buddies Xj then my Lj

I bought this Built axle off of Marketplace With a Locker, chromo. Shafts, regeared to 4.88s,Arb diffcover for 400 bucks so I can't complain
I only bought it cause I needed something quick so I wouldn't stress my 42rle out even further with the 33s I'm on

I've been waiting on gears and bearings to build the original axle from my Lj all that should be here next week but "most importantly" (due to my spirited driving style) I've been waiting for a reply from Jeep West so I can buy some Uca axle brackets so I can correct my geometry in the rear.....but as of now that isn't an importance if I can't get em in.
Just need a focus on rebuilding the original axle.

Today I replaced the crankshaft position sensor! Goodbye p0320. I was very surprised by the location, and also equally surprised how quick the install went.

Next up p1596.

It's a pita. For me.....
I got big hands/forearms so I struggle to get a tiny wrench up there,it's close to the firewall,I got a Rock slider tube in the way to the sensor.....maybe it's just me 😆

...nonetheless I got savvy arms now😁
I'm a simple man,For example if I spend over 500 bucks on a part and I get a sticker me happy🙂 no sticker = me sad....🤣

Edit-jokes Aside, they're pretty! even prettier since I only paid 1,440 for them shipped 😁

Yesterday...I finally took the "ROUGH COUNTRY" letters off of my windshield.

I momentarily thought of removing just the O, R and Y from "COUNTRY" and see how long it would take my lovely wife to notice. Then I realized she does not always see the humor in things like i do. 🙄🫩
