My 18 month highway, city and offroad combined average has been 14 MPG.

The few times I only drove on the highway and filled up I got both higher and lower than that number.

I get around 16mpg. My Jeep has only about 50K miles on it. 33's/4.10's manual. I drive gently and anticipate, so I don't use my brakes much to stop. A very smooth driver, which helps in fuel economy and longevity of one's vehicles.

Exact same set up and 15/16 city, 18 highway if I keep the speed down.

I had a little Mazda pickup that got 20 mpg city and 19 mpg highway. Try to drive downhill more on the highway, it improves the mileage.

2000 TJ 2.5l, 33s, 4.88s. I'm getting around 13 with mixed driving. Light comes on around 200 miles and I can get about 50-60 miles after the light goes on.

I get an honest 28mpg Imp (23.3 U.S.) on the highway @ 90kmh/55mph (and we don't have flat land). Push it to 100kmh/62mph and it drops 10-15%. Everyday combined 23.5 Imp (19.5 U.S.).

As long as you keep the 2.5 at 2200-2300 rpm on stock rubber, it does pretty well.
