What else to do during an engine swap?

It looks like my engine has kicked the bucket after getting 200 and change on the clock. I'm thinking about getting a reman from https://www.sandjengines.com/ due to their very nice looking warranty, as well as a couple of recommendations I've been given for this shop.

I'm curious if anyone has a list or suggestions for other things to do while swapping the engine out? Seems like a great time to swap the clutch and the rear main seal, but I'm sure there's plenty of other things that would be smart to tackle as well

Who is doing the work you or a shop ?
3 months ago I put a Titan 4.0 in my tj.Mine came with a oil pump and I had to buy pickup tube on Amazon ,you won't get old one off pump with out destroying it. I also replaced flywheel,clutch and pressure plate, which were Luk brand and also bought on Amazon, excellent price too!
Time the camshaft position sensor before putting on timing gear cover on. Did you look at Titan engines 4.0 ?

What he said and nothing else. . . . unless you R&R the part right then and there. Don't fall in to the trap of taking other things apart out of boredom. Two of the last three TJs I bought were totally disassembled projects that started off with intentions of a LS swap.

Going to try and do the work myself as I'm not dying to pay a shop a couple grand in labor.

I haven't looked at Titan engines but I'll be sure to do that. Thanks for the pointers on the rest of the stuff, I'll have to stop myself from taking the whole car apart while the engine is out

The reman engine will have new rear main seal in it. I checked torq on all the caps on crank. I did all labor and went and picked up engine to save shipping.Had to pay a core charge till they broke down and inspected my block and head.
