What is good price range for a 2006 Jeep Wrangler with 90k miles?

Not necessarily. I fell into my 2005 LJR with 55k miles for 10k. Dual tops, completely stock. Previous owner was freaked out by death wobble. I tightened up the track bar, and all has been fine.
I can also win the lottery, though I’m unlikely too.
Got this 2004 with 162,000 miles and the 42rle and hardtop for $8200. It’s not perfect, but we’re getting it there.

That's about exactly right. I just bought my 04 Rubicon with 67k miles for 19k. It checked off all the boxes for me... Yellow, low miles, 03 or 04 Rubicon, automatic, full doors, well maintained, not over built... so the cost was worth it to me and I guess that's what counts in the end.

I can not compare any vehicle prices between Australia and US. It's ridiculously high price for cars in AU. And for the speed limits already good enough to discourage. But thanks for sharing.You can never tell its like house prices! If you buy a TJ at a high price now and own it you dont need to sell it off cheaper but if you finance and all of a sudden cant afford payments then you may have to cut your loses and sell it cheaper.
Example TJ in Australia Pre plandemic $8000 ($6000us) Insurance value $8000-$8500au Now same TJ asking up to $16000au but Insurance value is still $8000 - $8500au.
People with finance are forced to pay very high insurance costs to cover the price paid for the TJ over the book value.
Finance payments high insurance payments back to pre plandemic higher gas prices plus high maintenance costs = big mistake for the Burger Flipper student who spent all their pocket change on a lift and bigger tires.
Market demand is to blame for high 4x4 prices because people cant travel so they go off the beaten track closer to home and TJs look cool but if and when travel goes semi normal the world will be flooded with used 4x4,s no longer needed.
Places like CA, NV, AZ, UT always have off-road presence and when Ford and even toyota considering FJ back. The demand is not going to scale down.

I thought the price was reasonable compared to most newer cars. Price out a 2010 and above Jeep with similar miles. Rubicon will increase the price, but I'm in between on whether that would be worth it. The transfer case maybe but not the front axle.
So I'm pricing parts and will likely end up at the same price point with better parts.
I got my LJ with 68k for $16,000. The upfront cost is only one piece. I like it because it's smaller than new Jeeps, my registration and insurance costs way less than a $50,000-60,000 Rubicon/Gladiator.
Still lots of aftermarket and still lots of drivers.
So what is your alternative? $50-75,000 new. Hell my 2008 Toyota Highlander cost $32,000 and has depreciated faster in valve than the TJ.
You can always look for a decent CJ7 or CJ8.

Though I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a sport with the 42rle and installing a rubicrawler.
The ideas is to find one that hasn’t been posted or the seller doesnt know about forums like this one or Facebook.. there’s way to many people like Starr’s, etc that’s just sit around and scour the Internet Looking for these and repostIng and everyone whose has caught the bug run to those post and start trying to buy them.. there are opportunities to find a decent price, but you have to be patient and be ready when it happens.. know the price value in your market and be ready!!!

I paid $22.5K for my 05 TJR Unlimited 6sp 112K miles back in Jan. Very happy with it no surprises yet. Had to go to Co to find it. Prices in SoCal are crazy. Not many choices for TJs that aren't worn out daily drivers or crapy builds around here.
Yay I drove your and agree. Unfortunately I had to get rid of mine it had too many issues. So now I am back in market.
