What should I upgrade next?

What to upgrade next

  • Big Brake Kit

  • Revolution 4340 dana 30 shafts with No-slip locker

  • New Mickey Thompson MT tires

Also just ordered the axle shafts. Looks like everyone has the No-Slip on backorder till June or July.

I seriously considered an Aussie or Spartan, however after reading a lot of reviews I'm going to hold out for the Powertrax No-slip.
They all function the same.
Besides, how long untill you upgrade the axle or the whole jeep anyway? It’s not like it’s going to be a permenant part in there forever.
Want to wheel now, or wait for back ordered parts?

I'm curious, why?

I'm referring to the suggestion of those relic transmissions. Also, your Dana 30 with 4340 shafts will do fine with 35" tires. The only benefit of a Rubicon 44 would be the ability to install 5.38 gears but that is really only useful if you had a 42RLE automatic transmission.

I’ll hate on the 44 then
It isn’t worth the cost of admission over a built 30 for 35” tires.

If your going even bigger than 35’s you need axles bigger than a 44

That what I heard from both Blaine and Jerry.

Blaine said he helped developed the S35 and it was more than adequate for 35's.

I’ve run an LP30 and a S35 on 33’s, 35’s and 36” Iroks. The only failure I had was the LP30 blowing the full case locker out due to housing flex.
My current LJ came with a 44 so its staying. But I’ll build a HP30 to make sure I don’t kill anything with 33’s
My hate post was directed at a front Rubicon 44 vs a built 30.
