Where do I add UV dye to the A/C system?

IF after testing the two service ports with soapy water and you find that there are bubbles coming out; before going to the expense of replacing the service port valves you can take a small screw driver and quickly push in the center pin to reseat the valve. This will emit a small amount of pressurized gas, but will usually reseat the valve and stop the leak.

Yeah, the ports are always a good spot to check.

In general & assuming your engine bay is clean, AC leaks are pretty easy to find without dye (unless you're leak is behind the firewall, in which case dye won't do you much good anyway).

If you have a small leak you'll usually see what looks like a greasy area like on the condenser fins or at a line union. The refrigerant collects whatever dirt is floating around & traps it... It also has a very tell-tale smell. Can't explain how it smells other than refrigerant.

Thanks to everyone for the responses. I figured that was the service port but I wanted to triple check. Soon after posting I found the leak once I turned the ac to full blast. Looks like my new compressor is at fault. It is puking oil from the main housing. I'm trying to get a replacement now.
