Am I to believe that Jeeps never get into accidents?? After going to junk yards for 25+ years I very very rarely see any Jeep Wranglers in them. I have always had to try to find a part out online and usually the part I may want is either junk or sold already... Where do all the Jeeps go??

Haha.. I hear ya.. I guess they are driven slower then your passenger cars and such and therefore must not have such a huge impact that they can be repaired cheaply..or they sit in the backyards of some peoples homes.. just a guess but it’s a unicorn
Probably go to highest bidder at auction hence why your typical yards don't have them.
For another few months I am living in Southern California where Jeeps REALLY hold their value. Most people hold onto their Jeeps.
Shortly after purchasing my '01 TJ Sport I made a run to the local Auto Recyclers to see what I could find in replacement parts. I found that most do not have any TJs; although I found one yard that specialized in Jeeps which had almost 2 dozen JKs, but only 3 TJs. The 1st barely resembled a TJ, the 2nd was picked almost clean and the 3rd was mixed in with the JKs and was a base 4 cyl. I was able to get a few relays, but nothing else.
The remainder of the parts that I needed required purchasing online from the east coast Auto Recyclers

In the rare occasion we get one here at the pull and pay its stripped down and picked over within the first day.
Jeeps never die. They simply get recycled into other, bigger, better, faster, stronger jeeps. Eventually, there will be only one, and likely, MrBlaine will be the one that builds it.
I'm sure too many of them were used as a $4000 trade in during the Cash for Clunkers scheme.

My good buddy who runs a yard here says they are loaded within a day and taken (mostly) to Jeep specific yards where they go through with a fine tooth comb for parting out. Even here in Rust capital NY and head to somewhere in Penn (at least that's where the checks come from).
A lot of them get parted out right here on this forum 
Market place Facebook. Seen a few that are bought by certain people and parted out. Also have Jeep junk yards about an hours drive from me
Early last summer, I had only had my TJ for about 5 months. I spied a TJ listed on one of the local pick n pull yards. I think it had only been there 3 or 4 days. Complete, but had been hit a little in the passenger fender so something ike that. Drove into downtown KC to the yard, paid my $2 and walked the 1/4 mile to the area that I thought the Jeep would be. Saw a frame on the ground, but kept walking. Got to the end of where it would have been and turned back. Back to that frame. The LH rear corner, green, was all that was left of the body. Same color as the TJ on the website. Yep. That was it. That was the Jeep. Was. Only the frame, and one rear corner of the tub. The heavenly aroma still hung in the yard. But it was gone, all gone! No tj! No tj sandwiches! No tj salad! No tj gravy! TJ Hash! TJ a la King! Or gallons of tj soup! Gone, ALL GONE!
I mean, there wasn't even any bones left. Never seen a vehicle picked down that far before, LOL. I just buy my stuff off ebay (from the guys that buy up the junked TJs). I don't have to lay in the mud and step in the puddles in the yard. The part comes to me, and I have choice of (usually) 5 or 6 available selections to choose from.
I did, and do, enjoy the chase somewhat for good cheap junkyard parts for my other vehicles if the circumstances warrant it. But I don't even bother for TJ parts. Never see them.

Most TJs end up at jeep only salvage yards , but the catch is some are almost private deals , specialty off road shops that but them and scavenge parts for resale on in house builds.
There is a firefighter somewhere in Tennessee who buys wrecked That and parts them out as a side business. One of our Tj resellers gets parts there.

the molded rubber center console 2 cup holder insert? i just bought a center console out of a 04 from my local yard but forgot to grab the rubber insert in the jeep this past weekend. i bet i can swing by and grab it... i didnt need it
Yes, that would be awesome if it were still there. I'm also looking for one of the screws for the footman loop that attaches to the door if that's still around. I've only owned my Jeep for a month or so but OPs issue has been my cheif complaint. These small parts that you can usually find simply aren't available.
