Where is the water coming from?

I had the same issue when I first got my jeep

Yep-- was those dad blasted mucket seals-- didnt even have 'em on mine

I'm having a similar problem after a decent rain, but mine is the floor in FRONT of the passenger seat. I have weathertech floormats that hold the water, but I have never seen where it is has come from. The water literally sits in the center of the mat, with no evidence as to where it came from. Top doesn't seem to be leaking at all, the area around the door is dry,….only thing I can think is it may be coming in behind the dash and dropping straight down onto the mats. I felt all around and looked as much as I could, but I'm still perplexed.

There is a water drain hole/tube in the cowl in between the hood and the windshield. Often that gets clogged and it may drain on the interior of the firewall.

Read thru the links in the previous post ( post #24 ) & those should cover about every one possible.
Mine ended up being a combination of things. First- my firewall to hood seal was bad- I changed that and 90% of the water leakage stopped, but of course 90% is not good enough on a leak like that. Mine was leaking thru the firewall where the metal A/C lines came thru-- I sealed that area up and it stopped. But I did do the cowl removal thing first-- cleaned and rodded that out but wasnt the issue. Good luck to you and keep us posted
