Who doesn't use their back seat?

I love that tuffy drawer but i want the seat so i can occasionally take my grownish kids out in the dirt. I usually keep it tumbled because i don't have anywhere to store it and groceries are a pain with it up.

I have yet to see anyone else that uses theirs every day like myself. I have also never seen anyone else on this forum still in high school.

I must admit that I was skeptical of the drawer when I bought it because it's not more than 3.5" tall. It turns out that I was able to fit more than I had in one of those rectangular milk crates. Plus it's bolted down, has a lock and is completely out of the way.

The drawer is actually designed to go under the backseat. You can buy seat relocation brackets from tuffy. The only drawback is that it raises the seat a little bit which makes for a stuffy headspace, unless your passengers are short. Expensive too.

Mick, if I did have a glock it'd be within reach. Probably in a lockable drawer under the drivers seat. Some day...

I'd love to be able to take mine out for extra storage, but my kids love riding around in the back so it's not an option.

Removed mine recently and will probably end up securing spare tire in its place (Once I find one). Deciding if I want to bedline the cargo area or not. Will probably depend on how the foot wells turn out.

Took mine out shortly after I got my TJ. Now looking to install either a Tuffy Security Deck Enclosure or the Tuffy Rear Cargo Security Drawer.

Took mine out last weekend, for the 'rear seat out evaluation'. I really like the extra room. I have to say, though, I hear things from underneath the rear of the Jeep I wasn't hearing before. I haven't decided if that's a good thing or not yet...

Yep old thread, but just in case there might be new TJ owners here. Yep took out my rear seat and the center lap bolt mount the second day I had my 98 TJ for my lifestyle. Dogs, groceries, and other stuff needed the extra space. I have half doors with a soft top and just remove them and roll the back window up most of the time I can, but I can stand up the removable half door windows on the 3 pegs on each side and secure with the back seat shoulder belt over them against the wheel wells to hold in place out of the way and to have with me in case the WX changes and still have carry space in the back.

Threw the back seat in the shed out back when I first brought it home.....along with all the seatbelt hardware too. I'd sell it but there is like 10 others on CL now.

Mine usually sits on a shelf, but every so often my Wife wants to go wheelin with our son and I so I have to put it back in. Also sometime I bring one of his friends on a trail ride

Mine lives mostly in the garage, especially during the winter. During the summer when the top is off, it's kind of a toss up, suddenly everyone wants to ride with me when its sunny.

I think mine had two butts in it within the first few months after buying the jeep. Ended up snatching mine out many years ago and packed it away in storage.

Mine is the same. Occasional winter use but I put it in more often
during the summer when the whole family wants to ride around toppless.
