Who makes these bumpers?

Call your local station and have them run that plate number for a nominal donation. Call the guy up yourself and ask. I've never seen a rear like that. Could be custom?

What's wrong with the front bumper? I have seen many very similar to it, why would you not run it?
As far as your comment concerning the rear bumper, it's very heavy, I would like something that wasn't so heavy. Do you ram things in reverse a lot?
So no explanation regarding what is wrong with these bumpers other than one comment about the perceived strength and design of the rear bumper. The front bumper looks like many I see on this site as well as in catalogs I now get. I'm a noob trying to learn so an explanation would be appreciated. Maybe they are crap, but so far I'm not getting any real useful info from you experts.
Too big, too bulky looking, extends out too far in front of the tires which decreases the approach angle which is not a good thing.
This is what I run, it's an aluminum bumper made by Savvy Offroad and it's as small and as light of a strong and good quality bumper as I can find.
I do understand the approach angle issue. A few years ago I rented a Rubicon in Moab that didn't have a front bumper. You could approach a near vertical wall and the tires were the first thing that touched the wall. I have 5 inches of lift which will help a little in that regard.
