Dana making the Dana 44 full float for the 2024 model wrangler- will these be the new swap instead of the heavy Dana 60?
Take a Dana 44 front and weld the ball joints and stick it in the rear?
Can someone explain like I'm five what a full float axle is? What's the difference between a standard Dana 44 and a full float Dana 44? What makes it better?
Looks like this will be a 5 lug design vs the typical 8 lug - no idea of BC. Likely far lighter as well. As the towing capacity isn’t massively improved.

3000 to 5000 is an almost 67 percent improvement.
Most of this is being done to best the Bronco's tow rating.
There are a few kits out there now to convert D44s to full float. I don't think they're that popular.
I will say it was super easy to pull my Sterling 10.5 axles to regear my truck...just undid the bolts and pulled the axles...wheels, brakes... everything still on the truck. So if nothing else this should make trail repairs that much easier.

What is a Bobo and do you need a "Bob Ross air freshener" when you catch one ?? Asking for a friend.
Hahaha- does anything “fit” a Sammy? We just weld , bolt ,clamp , tape whatever the hell want to Zuks!
Would prefer that it was a traditional spindle type full float over the unit bearing but I am old like that.
