Why are so many oppose to putting a jack on the hood?

I leave my high lift on because it’s controversial. I have used it to level a deck so it does get used.

No doubt under that hood is a colorful throttlebody spacer, droning K&N filter with matching color sock and an oil catch can instead of the stock PCV. Dare I say aluminum three core heavy duty radiator to complete the ensemble?

Never know when you will come across an unlevel deck at your local off-road park. How, in good conscience, could you not carry it with you?

During a airup at the end of a ride, lifted the hood to hook up the air compressor terminals, a huge gust of wind came out of no were..the hood lunged up and back unrestrained. I caught it on the way down, but the damage was done in an instant.
The following week a remote power cable plug installed.. now to replace the air intake panel.. lucky it did not break the windshield. Nothing holds the hood as a solid held object in the up position, its only a stick holding it up..
Nothing wrong with the jack.. it is a risk on a unrestrained hood...

I only pass by off road parks en route to the mall. Because that is where the real Jeeps are.
