Will a hard top crack from off-roading?

May be a stupid question but will off-roading with a hard top cause cracks from the body flexing? I’ve never had a hardtop before.

Depends on what you hit and how hard you hit it.

Since your jeep is on a frame it won't flex very much. Unless it is has the very common TJ Oxiframe, oxidized finish. Then it might flex....

I used to wheel with my hard top on a lot in the winter, never a problem until I slowly slid it into a tree and put a super small crack in the window gutter. Then I sold it.

And was that spotter tryin to get her to roll that jeep, he sucks

The frame flexes, not the body.
The body mounts are designed to let the body remain rigid as the frame and suspension flex.

You should have no problem as long as the top stays on top.

That was one cool video !! A work in progress he had the 6" rear flares installed.
But praise to the EMTs, those guys are gold.

not from flexing, but if you're doing tight trails with lots of trees or nearby boulders that you might rock over into...
