At the height of Bidenflation about 2 years ago i found myself growing tired of the smell of leaking coolant (and my ex-wife) on my JKU so i sold it and overpaid for a mildly modded 06 LJR that had 43,000 miles on the clock.

I applied and was approved for a $30,000 unsecured loan from lightstream that allowed me to buy just about anything i wanted in that price range.

Could have been a cherry '72 blazer, a new drive train for my '61 Ford unibody, or any litany of things on Bring A trailer... But it ended up being this Jeep. I am still happy with the choice!

LOL... I have no hope my wife will ever understand... but I don't understand 3-5K on a purse either... all I can think is... "that's a lot of Jeep parts!"

Yikes, thousands on a purse?! Thankfully my wife doesn't have an interest in designer clothes/accessories!

Motorcycles are the same way. $$$$ after $$$$ after $$$$.
I got too old to ride, sold it and bought the TJ.
Wanted something to pull behind the RV instead of the Bike on a trailer.
Even with top down and doors off it's not quite the same but that's part of getting old.
Nothing is the same.

I couldn't afford a Jeep until my kids were in their 30's, didn't even cross my mind while they were home!

Had to give up my FLHTK because of two bad shoulders. Be dammed if I give up driving my other toys, including my TJ

This little jeep!

Turns out as a new to the party Jeep TJ owner. There is a quick learning curve! You will be spending money. You will be replacing just about everything imaginable on your little gem.
After you finish your projects and tally up the total expenses. You are left with, the hard to swallow, fact that you now own a 20+ year old vehicle worth 30K plus. I am guessing that this value is unattainable on the open market. So, now it is time to just enjoy it, and except the fact you have a new family air loom? I am only posting this as way to vent. I am not totally discouraged. Just in need of some supportive words from fellow TJ enthusiasts. Cause the wife and friends, are curious about my mental stability and my obsession over this Jeep. The bewildered looks are starting to make me wonder if maybe they are right. Am I crazy?

This just in. The trend continues. Putting 4.10's in this week and new drive shafts. I got over the feelings I was having last week, as soon as I drove her this weekend.

The shaking must stop. Also, the snail's pace from takeoff must be addressed. F it!
