Will JK door hinge nuts work on a TJ?

I recently purchased an ‘04 TJ Sport and the previous owner chipped the paint off of the door hinge nuts badly. I’m just curious if anyone has tried and/or would know if JK door hinge pin nuts would work on TJ door hinges? To me, JK pin nuts are simpler, lower profile and there is no need to worry about chipping off any paint.

I have a feeling that most of us who have removed the door pin nuts never put them back on.

I bought these recently:
https://www.quadratec.com/products/55017_9200.htmSupposedly they fit TJs and JKs so it must be the same thread pitch and diameter.

I just used a standard hex nut and washer. Let me go check the thread size

It will be a rare chance that the Jeep will be left out in the open so I suppose there is no need to worry about any theft. I actually just recently ordered a pair of the outlaw ez on pin guides so I’ll just put them on and leave the nuts off. Thanks for the input guys!

I just put on a standard nut and washer on the lower hinge.

In the event of a rollover on the road it prevents the doors from flying off and becoming 50 pound missiles.

There are also locks that work just like the nuts; they require a special tool to remove
