Ok, bought 97 TJ 4.0. Was at operating temp when I test drove it, trailered it 2 hours home and put in the garage. Sat for about 3 days than wouldn't start, has spark, installed new fuel pump along with tune up and pulled throttle body off and cleaned it. Replaced MAP sensor but still won't start, acts like it's not getting enough fuel, will stumble a bit after trying. HELP!!

If you think its fuel, spray a bit of starter fluid in the intake and try to start. If it does, you found what the problem is.

I always start with basics, does it have fuel in it ? What's the quality of fuel that's in it ?
Next thing is pressure, if you don't have a gauge go down to Harbour Freight and get one ,hook it up cycle the key a couple times and see pressure ?
You can eliminate engine compression and ignition system by spraying carb cleaner in intake while starting. If it starts this way go back to fuel system. So try that out and let us know. !!!! Good luck.

Has all that, replaced fuel pump so yes there is fuel in tank. Guess I need to get the pressure tester. Thanks.
