but for topics like shocks etc it should not be so complicated.
Ive read numerous times that the same shock would fit differently in every Jeep. I dont find this accurate. They should be claiming that the x shock would work good at this range (i.e 1.5-2” lift, 2.5”-3”, etc) and that springs would give each TJ a different actual lift (which is totally understandable).
I am not talking about companies, but for people suggesting things.
For example a front shock with compressed length 13.05”, and extended length 21.03” (7.98” travel) would be at nearly perfect 50 50 ratio at any TJ with ACTUAL lift of 1-1.5” lift. The way to get that 1-1.5” lift on the contrary would differ in every TJ (different engines, mods, in general weight)
Am I wrong on that?
