Would it be ridiculous to sell a 2016 JKU to buy a TJ?

You sure that this is the best place to ask that question? I could have told you what the responses would be. If you've got the skrill, then get the JKU. Way more comfortable and the added wheelbase doesn't suck. I've ridden in a few and its nice. I would definitely want one if I can commuting every day in it. That being said, I am on TJ #4 and Jeep #9.

I’ve got both and it’s almost an apples to oranges comparison. I stress almost. There’s a lot of awesome to the TJ that a JK will never touch. But guess the same can be said, in some cases, with the JK.

If I absolutely had to pick one over the other, I would keep my TJ. For me, mine has all the amenities of the JK, except it lacks room for storage and passengers. I suggest you decide what’s most important to you and your uses and go with that.

If someone gave me a JK for free, I would sell it to buy a TJ. It's my daily driver as well.

I know JK is probably more comfortable for day to day use, but I dont care. In my eyes it's more modern than I like. TJ puts a smile on my face every time I am behind the wheel.

*OP might never read any response of all those replies, judging by his post count.

I store my passengers behind the rear seat in my locking trunk. 🤫

Now if there was an economical way to put a 3.6 in an lj with an atlas and transmission of your choice! That would make it awesome for off-road and highway!
