An Opportunity to Truly Help

Got home around 6 PM and unpacked the truck. Resisting opening the box with the new welder until I get other things done.
Glad you made it home safe and sound! Let the Jeep build resume!! Like I said this morning, any weekend you need help, just let me know!

Big shout out to @Wildman - When I dropped the engine off he gave me an Axial Wraith and an associated box of goodies for my son to play with! I got him a Traxxas Slash 2wd for his birthday last year & he's been loving it, as soon as he saw this thing on the workbench this evening he about lost his mind. I told him we needed to figure out how to service the shocks & use the LiPo charger before we can run it & he dashed inside to grab his laptop. Downloaded the user manuals, got it charged up, & let it rip for a little bit before bed.

Real generous of you Rick. We're up early for a hockey game & he already said when we get back he wants to put it on the bench & figure out how to fix the steering. Having a problem trimming it out straight, looks to be a trackbar issue but he can figure it out.
Wow, that’s real nice of you Rick, you really made that young man’s day!

I’ve met two of you, which is deeply concerning. 😉

Really I just want to say thank you for your service and for doing this. It is awesome to see. I hope I can do these things when my five kids move out! Right now I try to do these kinds of things for them. There will be a day and I will help anyone out there who needs a helping hand. Blessings to you guys, you guys are A+++

Thanks. It was just sitting here and not being used so I figured it was right to pass it on. And I'm glad it went to someone who will enjoy it.

Big shout out to @Wildman , @reddvltj , and @qslim. You guys are definitely the heroes in this saga.

Way to get ‘er done! 👍

It took us longer than planned but it sure is nice to have the hard parts done.

Wow looks like you guys may have had a bit too much fun rebuilding that Camry. We may need to get a discovery crew out there with you next time so you can start a series. I'll let the other smart asses here think of the title.

Glad to see it's coming together and soon to be off to a deserving home.

“Trippin’ Hazard Garage”?
“Nicotine & Missing Sockets”?

On Friday I went with @reddvltj on his mail route that he does. It's a very interesting mail route since most of it is on a dirt road and during the winter once the road is no longer being plowed he rides a snowmobile to do his route.
As we were coming back from doing his route we came across a Black Wolf standing in the road.

Here are pictures from the beginning that I couldn't load due to size so I had to host them on PhotoBucket.

@qslim trying to figure what this is???

And then qslim buggered up a bolt so @reddvltj had to fix it.

We sent the skinny guy under the car.

Some of the torque converter bolt holes had mud in them but wasn't noticed until I'd crawled underneath to install the torque converter bolts.

Got to LOVE Montana.... 80 MPH speed limit on the interstate. It was a BLAST on my Harley but it and my truck sucked the fuel down at those speeds.

Got the car backed out of the shop and parked next to the donor, now just waiting for a little better weather to give it a good wash and interior vacuum job. Along with the radiator fill neck being so corroded we also discovered a severely torn CV boot on the passenger side axle, so parts are on order and should be here some time mid week. By next weekend (if the weather cooperates) I should have it cleaned up and ready to find it's new home.

RockAuto really surprised me on how fast they got the items shipped. I ordered the parts last night and got the email saying they're shipping them by 2 PM today.
If the battery acts up at all I suggest you get a new one.

I'll take the batteries out of both cars and throw a charger on them for a full day, then let them sit over night to see if they'll hold, if not, I'll go from there.
