Radio antenna adapter

I believe the factory radio antenna connection at the back of the radio is called a Motorola. Near as I can tell anyway. I am using a JK antenna which has a very tiny connector on the end.

The problem is I have not been able to figure out what that end is called to locate an adapter from it to Motorola. We have bought a couple and returned them because they are wrong and the few stereo shops we have visited don't know either.

Help.

When I did the system in my jeeep a couple years ago, they sent me this adapter but it didn't fit.
When I called Crutchfield the rep told me it was for later jeeps.
I believe I still have it and could mail it to you.

No idea which is why I put up the post. I haven't been able to find the terminology that accurately describes what is on the end of the later antenna to adapt it to the factory 97 head unit.

I would just go to an auto zone,should be a common adapter,they would probably let you open the package,might save on some returns

according to what I see, There is also antenna cable that goes between the mast cable and the radio itself.
The part number for that is 56040948AG. You would then need Metra Part #40-eu10 to adapt that cable to your radio.

Is there a specific reason that you are using the JK style antenna?

I found a stainless antenna mount that says it only works on the JK. I may have to revisit that.
