What did you do to your TJ today?

Damn, those look good.

Here’s my contribution today, finished the JB sssye install and UCF ultra hi skid mocked up and DS ordered from Tom woods. Can’t wait to get this thing back on the road. Has been sitting since beginning of January.
Ordered a UCF UHC belly skid and a Rokmen gas tank skid. I'm stoked.

P.S. When I started this project, someone here asked me how much it was going to weigh. I guesstimated 50 lbs. I was 10.1% high - its actually 44.5 lbs, which is about 30 lbs heavier than the paper-thin stocker is at 15.6. My weight includes the 4 mounting bolts (but not the nuts/washers) as the stock has its bolts permanently attached - trying to do apples to apples comparisons. If I had been able to heat-bend the bottom strap like I had wanted, it would have saved .9 lbs worth of square washers/spacers.

The C channel is 3/16", using 1/4" would be heavier, of course.

Dang it. I never weighed my rear bumper.

Had to be less than the one I replaced.

The bumper itself isn't bad, but by the time I added the pintle hook, chainplate, and hardware, plus the two bumper clankers (Shackles) that will live on it; the total comes out to 63 lbs! Not insignificant, but "there for a reason". There are plenty of Jeep bumpers that are FAR heavier. But hey! I saved an entire 3 lbs by removing the stock recovery hook, so there's that.

Wasn't today, was yesterday, but I mounted an antenna for the am/fm radio inside the windshield, and found the problem with the windshield wipers....The motor is bad.
Also managed to get a little more mud on it....
Would you share more details on the radio antenna? Have you tried it out yet?

Sure. It is a Metra AntennaWorks Antenna Systems On Glass Amplified AM/FM Antenna part # 44-UA200. I purchased it from Crutchfield.
It has an amplifier in the antenna that needs 12 volts to work really well. The power wire is molded to the antenna cable that is over 8 feet long, and a short braided wire that needs to be grounded is there, too. I routed the antenna cable under the rubber that holds the windshield in around the top and down the passenger side and then behind the dash after prying up the defroster cover. I just ran the ground cable to one of the loops above the windshield.

I have not connected the power wire yet, nor have I had it outside my garage since mounting it to the windshield, but it works good already.

I am glad I lived long enough to see this phantom bumper story coming to life!
Honestly Zorba , I am glad to see more Home brewed bumpers designed and installed.
It is much more personal then the group think default of buying one from a certain " S " company.
But here again you really don't fall in line to group think defaults.( I wonder why I think that ).

I removed my winch and plate today. Both are in bad shape, I know @Zorba brought a winch back to life. I may go that route, not sure. Very torn as I don’t feel I need a winch, I don’t do anything crazy. However, I know one day I might need one, tough call. If someone had any thoughts let me know. Before and after, still need the sway bar cover fastener size so I can attach it to frame.
