I think you are (purposely) mis-characterizating what he said about improving the Savvy bumper.

Are the Savvy bumpers similar (edit: in design/shape/dimensions - not material) to the old Currie bumpers? This is the 54" version but Currie had a 45" as well. And different hoop options as well. Would like to swap the hood hoop for a winch hoop.

Some key details are similar. The old Currie winch deck used the factory sway bar frame mounting holes.

No way, to me the bumper is decorative and has to be modified for heavy use. It's not really a fault but it should have been made from heavier material. It's a compromise, and maybe a smart one if nobody used it hard? Who really does hard pulls? But selling it as the top tier is crap and you know it.

You're not pulling with the bumper, you're pulling with the hooks (which tie into the frame). You're confusing that some people integrate the two.

No, it needs "guards" over the angle where the bumper is welded because the weld can fail when struck hard enough. It's not possible to form the material into that acute of an angle.
