Best Replacement Fuel Pump?

I went with the Delphi. It is on its way.
The current Bosch offering is available but I don’t think it is still the OEM version as it’s now a one size fits all part number.

“if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” thing?
The new one is just as likely to fail in a year, I'd just keep the old one. You can buy a Bosch pump and stick it in your toolbox if are really concerned. If you are pulling the assembly I think the screens can be replaced. Mine were clean enough at 100k I left them alone.

That’s a good idea. I didn’t need the aluminum skid but I liked it enough. I still have my stock skid so I may mod it for the 1” clearance then sell the savvy one down the line. It’s a good free mod. Wish I knew how to weld😩
Haha I suck at welding but I figure this can look like shit and no one will ever know, since I’m the only one who will see it way up under there 🙃

I’ve read that people bolt the two parts back together too. So that’s an option.

There is more advantage to the savvy skid than just clearance. I would keep it.

I am planning to do a gas tank lift soon
Nothing wrong with just cutting and bolting it but I hardly see the value. Seems like you should focus on something like an engine skid if you don't have one. I dragged my stock skid for years and it looked like shit but it was never a limiting factor. Even at stock height the stock tank is tucked under the rear bumper. Sure you drop on it but lifting it isn't going to change that, you are still going to drop onto the rear bumper after the tank and get hung up on the rear bumper, so what if the tank is an inch higher or lower? You are just changing the height of the middle step, you aren't going to clear something because of it. At least that has been my experience on the trail.

The main reason I’m doing is I’m going from factory bumper and receiver hitch to a dirtworx bumper with hitch. Currently I land on the hitch all the time so I figured while I’m in there I’ll raise the gas tank it can’t hurt. If I’m buying skids I agree I’d opt for other skid plates where there aren’t any already

We’ll I’m back here as I believe I now have a failing fuel pump. Takes longer to crank than it did and sometimes when it old starts or starts shortly after I just shut it off it runs real rough like it isn’t getting enough fuel. Any input? No codes and I don’t have a reader that can read fuel line pressure.

Spark plugs were replaced last year.

Would low fuel pressure trigger a check engine light?

Mine did that when the CPS was going bad. Turn the key on for a few seconds before you actually try to start it. If that fixes the problem, it's most likely a pump issue.

Mopar part number 4609153AE from rock auto about 37 bucks for the automatic?
This sound about right?

How east is this sensor to replace? For 30 bucks that’s worth trying before the hassle of a fuel pump

Looks like the fuel pressure reg. may be goin out on my 04. 78000 miles and still runs great, just takes the extra crank to start her.Gonna change the whole unit….just cuz…
