MCE Fender Discussion

Are those dipped? The CF pattern looks great.

Side note.. I just browsed 77 pages of images in your profile... good lord, your TJ is sweet. I think it's my Holy Grail TJ.
What's the back-story on the half doors
I have been running a set of UCF aluminum trail doors with a carbon fiber wrap for quite awhile, then I stripped them and rattle can painted them body color. I just recently found some yellow half doors but they are repainted yellow and don’t match well so I’m in the process of stripping them for paint.

.
They are original MCE Carbon Fiber Look fenders, they used to offer 3 different ones in 3 coverages, 3”, 4.5”, and 6”, in black texture, smooth silver, and the CF. I figured if I didn’t like the CF I would paint them

Is there a way to install these without having to cut into the jeep?
Get over it. One cut and you can change your Jeep and make real progress. Just do it tastefully. This one is a no-brainer.

Buy some take-off fenders from someone that did high line fenders and put yours in the attic.
I had to do this. Found a set locally already white. Mine had some aftermarket tube fenders so my fenders were already cut out on the sides leaving just an inner fender.

You just cut the fenders. You could pick up another set of fenders and cut those if you want the option to go back to your originals.

You sold your taco, I think you got this. I have no regrets. You can’t see all the cutting I’ve done on mine, but it’s more than the fenders, and more coming.

I think there’s a mentality built up due to all the shifty XJ cut up’s. Ignore that. It can and should be done right.
