Savvy Mid-Arm Deliveries?

Apparently 3D Offroad in Colorado Springs has one, but they don't have an online store - so my guess is they sell one they install only. AFAIK it's a copy of Savvy's...

I talked with Matt there earlier this week about his Mid-Arm kit. He is supposed to be sending me pictures when the rig that has it installed returns to the shop.

One thing that he said is different is they use the factory bushing on top of the front diff for the 3 link.

Ill post up picture when and if I get them.

That's stupid. The upper bushings are smaller than the lower due to the distance away from the axle tube centerline. The longer the lever, the less work the bushing has to do so you can get away with a smaller one. Now, if you drop a link, you are asking one arm to do the work of two. If you do that, then the bushing has to move up in size to compensate. If you can't figure out something that simple, go find something else to do because figuring out suspension isn't it.

That's what I was thinking about after reading that they use a stock size joint. I know Garrett used a larger joint on the upper axle with the short arm 3 link he did not too long ago - I figured for this same reason.

Clayton calls their 3/4 link a “long arm” which is the devils phrase around here, but it’s not really a long arm like the RC, RE or MC long arms that use a belly pan style system, but it’s not quite a “mid arm” either Savvy mid arm links are around 27-28” I believe and Clayton long arm links are like 30-31”

Sorry that was a bit of a run on sentence.

The arm length is irrelevant. Clayton still puts their mounting points in the wrong spots.

Are you sure about that, really sure?

I was reading this thread today on my lunch break. I've ordered a lot of Savvy stuff due to stuff I've read on this forum and others. I've had to wait a very long time for the Savvy MAU kit, like ordered end of Jan and delivered end of June in '21. My shop who I ordered it through said he would never order through them again, it simply wasn't worth his time to deal with them as this happens every time, they don't return his calls (he is the local "dealer" if you will) or emails and ended up making me chase them. They came through eventually and even answered some back and forth emails near the end.

The other stuff I've ordered like 231 and 241 cables were delivered pretty quickly. Taillights same. I ordered the gas tank skid and engine skid when I noticed people were getting theirs about a month ago and came home today and to my surprise Brown Santa delivered them.

Honestly if they could simply communicate like a normal adult in 2022, everything else would work itself out. Instead they just take your money and leave you in the dark, like how a 4th grader operating a business would do.

Try ordering a new vehicle in 2022. I'm 10 months in with Ford and have only experienced terrible communication and no vehicle. They make Savvy's communication look like a chatty Kathy.

And, sadly, when you finally get that shiny new Ford, it'll be missing chips so that you won't have all the options you've paid for, and rather than give you money back, they'll give you a promise that you'll get those chips as soon as they're available. That's what's happened to friends I know who've bought 2022 Ford trucks.
