Fathers day yesterday so me and my girls went down to see the Drag racing..(non professional) very low key sort of event... the bad weather the night before put off allot of racers which was a shame...here are a couple pics from the start and the Burn-out Comp too.
Looks like winter has set in there. Looking forward to some cooler weather here too

No the opposite...we are just coming out of Winter and into Spring....but Winter doesnt want to let go just yet.... some flooding around the drag strip yesterday and some heavy rain and thunder tonight. (August-September are generally the wetter months)
I replaced the driver's side hub/bearing assembly and axle u-joint yesterday. The previous owner helped make it more of a pain by over-torqueing the axle nut (I'm now the proud owner of a 1" drive breaker bar). Next weekend I plan to attack the passenger side components.
I call working today "Jeep Money" day. Big Big money day. 
Painted the stock bumper satin black and tried to use forever black on some trim pieces. It worked great on the Sahara side steps but looks super patchy on the swaybar cover/sail panels.
Today I'm replacing the rear shocks since I finally received two of the same shocks from ET, I'm going to try to get the serpentine belt, idler and tensioner changed since they've started chirping at me.
Yesterday we set off to find a local waterfall via the "back" way and we all found out that the "trail closed ahead " isn't actually a challenge.
After having to hand saw and winch several large downed trees someone rolled a Jumanji 7 and the forest closed in and tried to swallow 9 jeeps

Ordered a new driving lamp rocker switch.
I finally did the "Wiring the 42RLE to automatic overdrive for off by default" mod. It took me a lot longer than it should have, though. I couldn't get it to stay activated past reverse no matter what. I finally unhooked the wire tapped to the switch from pin 30 on the relay and connected pin 30 to ground and now it works.

Quick coolant change and it was worse than I was expecting. Not terrible but definitely needed to be done. Lubed the front end.
I have some of that stiffener material, but it's not as heavy as the stock stuff and it's a translucent white. Not sure if that could help you. If so, I'll dig around for it. Haven't used it in a long time.
I think it actually is a crime now in California.
Those black bars on the ladies in your new avatar.. that should be a crime in any state.
