05 Flame Red TJ Build

Wouldn’t believe it if it wasn’t true, but got the new Woody front shaft with the X spline and XB style and I have no more vibes. Lack of good spline engagement, eventual wearing of the splines and/or imperfect balance at those driveshaft speeds were accompanying or causing a harmonic vibe at 68+mph. All gone and smooth as glass at 75mph. Woohoo! Yes, that’s my custom high clearance oil pan.

Gone, I went under the rig a couple weeks ago and tightened every bolt. It can be deceiving. You think it’s up front but it’s hard to tell sometimes. Don’t know which bolt it was, but that’s one way to find it! 🤣

On one hand I'm glad I already have a TW front shaft, or this would have given me false hope and cost me $350ish. On the other hand it frustrates me that my issue is apparently something else.

I couldn't sleep.... I was out in the garage working on the Jeep.

It's my BAD time of the year. I'll have another week of this and not more, I hope.

My wife knocked our noise maker off the bed and it woke me up. Had to check the forum! 🤣
