I've been chasing an intermittent electrical problem with the ignition for awhile now and today, I finally stumbled across a bad clip on the PCM connector. Does anyone know where I can purchase a new one?

How confident are you that that clip is the cause of your issues? I'm like 3k miles away, but I'm sliding all my chips to the "probably not" tile.

When I touch the one connector that controls the ASD relay, the jeep shuts off. I'm 100% confident my problem is a connection problem within this connector........ Thanks for your chips 😁

When I purchased my '01 TJ 4.0L one of the 32 pin ECU harness connectors had a problem; I ordered a replacement pigtail that comes with the wiring with pins, harness connector and harness connector cover from the Jeep Dealer PN 0501 4013 AA-001

Last I looked, I had trouble finding the j tec connector bodies new. NGC was even harder but I was able to get a few of the colors.

Thanks..... I sure hope they are still available.

My bad! You need the grey connector. It’s available on rockauto. S2314

I was just looking at the one on Summit, it looks very close to the white one but hard to tell in a photo.

They are color coded and are all the same for all Jtec PCMs.

White s2340
Black s2312
Grey s2314

If I was a betting man, when you open the standard motor parts box you will find a mopar bag inside.

Glad I can help. Your harness looks great so I would absolutely not use those fly leads included in the kit. If you need any pointers to remove the pins let me know. Based on your pictures you got it broken down far enough to where it should be pretty obvious.

So I found all this out this morning before I left for work today. The pictures are as far as I had time for today but I'm assuming the barrel connectors require a tool that pushes in the retainers so you can remove them from the back side of the connector body.... Is that right?
