Rear track bar bracket torx bolt removal?

It will center it up. You’re doing a good job. we only get scared when we think we’ve messed up our Jeep. But you’ll get it. Sometimes it requires a walkabout.
You’re saving a ton of money too. And making the Jeep all yours. There’s nothing that can substitute for that!
You could also grind or file down the sides of the bolt head to get a wrench or over it and torque it out that way. That gives you two ways to un/install those bolts, in case you strip the Torx head...

Mission accomplished! Just had to sleep on it and get nasty with it this afternoon. So added a TB bracket and had some longer than stock shocks kicking around so I threw them on., gave it a flex test and it helped a ton. Stock ones were very limiting.

You're braver than I. When I saw what was involved in installing the OME track bar bracket, I gave up and ordered an adjustable track bar. I had no desire to be drilling that axle bracket at some ungodly angle. I could envision myself drilling through a hand or some such disaster...
You can PM someone, then it goes back and forth pretty fast, if both are committed to dialoguing in real time. Sometimes it happens in a thread, such as the one me and bobthetj were in...Have to hit up @Chris for a chat option...
Oh it was definitely not fun and I did smash one hand and bang it up pretty good. I figured it was good practice for an adjustable install. I also borrowed a very compact angle drill and a bit that you can drill and it spins at an angle. I did forget the crush sleeve tho and I put that in last night. 5 minute job.
But ya I’m full of advice about at the moment. More projects coming soon. I’ll document from now on.

Oh one more thing! I named the TB bracket “bob “ since @bobthetj03 was kind enough to ship it to me. What a great guy and a great forum!

We should find someone in the middle of the country, and everyone from another state send them a part. A 50-state sourced TJ...
I live in Salt Lake which is somewhat rusty and salty but our TJ came from Alaska. I think Alaska is not too bad. I wonder why[emoji848]
Edit/add. That bracket that was sent to me was the cleanest damn used Jeep part I’ve ever seen in my life. If I send parts to you there’s no guarantee that it won’t be powdered rust by the time it gets there.

I volunteer to receive rust free jeep parts... I'm kinda in the middle of the country... and i have access to a loading dock at work, so when you guys ship my rust free frame and tub, I'm all set to get it from the truck!
