What did you do to your TJ today?

Another day in paradise…. These colours are not altered in any way…

It must be depressing knowing there’s no reason to ever travel for a vacation. 🤣

It just seems like your country has endless beauty.

I'd been on a work trip, so I drove it for the first time in almost a month. Heard a rattle in the blower fan, so I opened it up to check.

Sure enough, some pine straw and a leaf rolling around in there. Lots of dust caked on the fins too.

I had nothing else going on today so I decided to clean it up. I cleaned it dry with just a 2" chip brush, not pressing too hard as I didn't want to break any plastic.

Then I hit the chip brush with two light shots of a Simple Green/water mix I keep in a spray bottle just to clean it up and used a toothbrush on a few heavy/stubborn dust spots.

Reinstalled the blower and fired it up; no noises.

All in all I used about 30 minutes of my day off, but it was an enjoyable 30 minutes.

It will probably take me 30 minutes to get the dash apart lol there are a few projects I want to get accomplished while I’m in there like replacing some old loom and checking out wires and plugs that are usually out of sight. I want to wire up a couple relays while I’m in there and redo my fog lights since they stopped working. Blown fuse first. Replaced it and still wouldn’t work but I haven’t had much time to troubleshoot it more.

One...seems to have an engine vibration after installing my big 7 cable kit. Going to have to track that down...no codes... concerned the ground wire above the rocker cover... previously dropped down close to the starter and came up with that bundle is now close to parallel with the wiring harness to the computer...who knows what kind of inductive bullshit might be happening. Going to wiggle wires and check plugs.

Two...when you drive the TJ to the junkyard to get parts to put the Ford Focus back together after the wife took out the radiator, fan, grill etc hitting a retread dead center on the freeway...and end up seeing a Hooke Road rear bumper for her JK and scoring it for $200 and getting it to just fit in the back for the trip home...plan b was to ratchet strap it to the front bumper. Swung by the stealership and paid $300 for two fing seals for the JK doors. Haven't told the wife I spent $150 on stereo parts for the TJ...think I get a free pass now.

Dude, you amaze me with the gusto you put into your repairs/work.

If anybody can track down & fix a blower motor problem, it's you.

Yes it is … however it look a like I could be travelling to the US in September with my daughters

Well, not really what I did to my Jeep today, but over the last week and a half.

Got the dreaded no start, went thru the ignition with a new actuator and ignition switch, nope, still no start, went down to the NSS, and that was it, so new NSS.
Then mounted up my new to me TR Beadlocks, and put her back in the garage.

Been dealing with that crap myself.. mine boiled down to the key being worn down to where it wasn’t pushing into the ignition far enough!!!! Story of my life😳
