Over on the JT forum, this asshat gets on to bitch that safelite denied him service because he had a windshield light bar installed... lots of back and forth with about a dozen members, I responded this (copied to see his reply to me)... I took offense that he called me stupid (I guess for not agreeing with him?) so I wrote to him the second screenshot (sent to me by the MOD of the forum as a warning...)

Damn snowflakes...

i'd call the mod a cunt and see where that leads

Here I thought I was joining a forum with kind members...

Just kidding, although I wouldn't mind a JL/JT for traveling purposes, I can't see spending what they go for (or how the average person is buying vehicles this expensive). Also, so many ridiculously stupid looking modifications.

The JT people are a touchy bunch. You'd be upset too if you had to spend $50K+ on a vehicle and then start the mods.

He needs that light bar. The mall parking lot can get dark at night!
My DD is a JT... I think I've been to the mall with it maybe once in the past 3 years? LMAO! It was stickered at $56k, pandemic pricing (bought 4/2020) was out the door at $46k. Helps to keep a lot of miles off the '05 TJ that we have owned since new as well...

Some of these new Jeep owners need to be thrown into the Pirate forum for a few hours to toughen them up...

Lots of sensitive people drive these new Jeeps, that's for sure.

Hey, I have a JT and I’m offended… I’m gonna report you and have you banned…

…… wait, oops.

Must be a balancing act because the JK crew were a bunch of freaking jerks on the forum. Specifically way-o-life.

I was just talking to a friend about how when growing up the forums were real, helpful, full of technical conversation and the general feeling of helping others. This isn’t coming from old man River, I’m 35!!!

The people on this forums sister site (https://wranglerjkforum.com) are much nicer. There aren't as many as Way-o-Life, but they are way more friendly.

I'd love to have one as a DD. I have a couple neighbors that have them, so I walk by them daily. Though I've never seen one on a black diamond trail. Not a single one. I just assume people don't want scratches and other rock damage on them. Plus they're just too long for anything tight.

Specifically way-o-life.

I got banned on there for disagreeing with the leader guy. Eddie? Talk about a Pompous Asshole.

Part of the bashing was saying I'm a low life because I don't live by the beach like some of their members. Another comment was that I drive an LJ because I can't afford a JKU. This all happened in the TJ section of the forum (or other Jeeps).

The other day I was at the post office and I parked next to a JK. I had always heard that the angle of the windshield was different on the JK's, and that they had laid it back more to make it more aerodynamic. Now, my eyes may have deceived me, but when I came out of the post office I looked at both of them from the side and they looked pretty darn close to the same angle. However, what was strikingly obvious was that the hood of the JK was slanted downward much more than the hood of the TJ. When I looked at both and I saw those JK fender flare things, the slanted hood, and really the whole moment, I felt like I was comparing a mail truck to an off-road warrior.

I don’t need a support group, lol… plus I am back in a TJ, well LJ. Have the JT to the wife and sold her 4xe. Prolly going to sell the JT, this economy sucks and world conditions aren’t looking to good. Just being cautious.
