Hello everyone! Wanting to buy a TJ, but want to make sure I don't get scammed! How much should I expect to pay for an '03-06 Rubicon that is RUST-FREE with around 50-100k miles? Appreciate your thoughts!

$18,000 to $22,000 for a rust free lower mileage rig.
I’m just re-entering the market again for a jeep and prices are crazy!… in my area there are no low mileage Rubicon’s that I’m finding and a Rubicon with 150,000 miles goes to $20,000… a T.J. with no rust and not molested is gonna run you between $10,000and $15,000 depending on mileage… And I tried to buy the totaled salvage from my 97 T.J. yesterday and they wanted more for it than I paid for it three years ago… And it’s totaled now!
What I have found in my area is that the prices of UTV’s (like Razors, Mules, etc) went threw the roof during covid and since, so people figured out that they could buy older Jeeps for much less and do basically the same thing and then some.
This drove the prices of used Jeep Wrangler YJ’s and TJ’s up tremendously.
Add to that the ridiculous prices for new Wranglers and there you go.
The same thing happened with used bass boats.

I paid $9500 for mine with 120,000 miles. I wouldn't pay over $15,000 for one with 50,000 miles on it. They're still 17-20 years old, regardless of the mileage.

Give you some idea. These guys are not the cheapest, but have good Jeeps and would talk straight if you call.
Have to look south of TN or out west to find "rust free" good luck.
Look at Facebook Marketplace and on here to get some idea of prices. Hint, you will not find one in IN or northeast. My opinion, could be wrong. D

This LJ with 100,000 miles on it sold locally for $12,000 a month ago. The guy bought it to flip and is asking $15,000 and can't sell it. Ditch the 3" BL, wheels and chrome and I'd give him $11,000............maybe.
Note the lack of Sage brush pin striping, odds are it has never been very far off road.
2004 LJ auto with 110,000 miles for $10,000. Just needs the flares painted.
