Why is this 1" body lift from M.O.R.E. the only kit with a "steering riser bracket"?

I was looking for a body lift for my TJ. I was hoping to find a 1.25" kit with aluminum pucks. I came across this kit from Mountain Off Road Enterprises and noticed that they include a bracket for the steering that I do not see in any other kit. Do you think this is even needed if the other manufacturers do not include anything similar? Does anyone have experience with this body lift kit?

I wanted aluminum pucks, but I noticed this kit is only 1" and not 1.25" like the Savvy kit. Does the extra quarter inch make a difference for some reason that I would want it over the 1" kit? I plan on doing the aluminum belly up skid plate (ultra high clearance) from Under Cover Fab Works. Do you think 1" body lift would be enough? I will install a new crossmember to support the drivetrain.

That extra 1/4 inch helps out alot sometimes especially with that belly up pan....go with savvy 1 1/4 you won't be disappointed

What is your reason? Is it just the extra 1/4" or the black color? Maybe the chamfer on the pucks? That's all I see different besides the plastic vs. aluminum.

The plastic like to squeak after a few years.... not much you can do about it....I speak from experience

The BM pucks aren't aluminum.

I remember a few years ago Chris told me JKS plastic pucks squeak..... I didn't believe him til mine did....why do more people on this forum go with savvy then?....I know it's a pretty close race

Because the BM body lift kit wasn't available until fairly recently.

I'm pretty sure it's the same material a few companies use for BB spacers (Delrin). I could be wrong though. It's happened before.

1. Acetal and Delrin are both thermoplastic polymers. Delrin is a homopolymer form of acetal. Acetal is produced as either homopolymer acetal or copolymer acetal. Delrin offers higher stiffness, flexural modulus, tensile and impact strength, and lower friction coefficient than acetal copolymer. Acetal is better suited to continuous high-temperature exposure, while Delrin is the better choice for continuous cyclic loading applications. Well if it's the same crap JKS uses it's absolute garbage.... but I've heard good things about BM

It's not the same stuff. JKS is garbage or so I hear. Mrblaine doesn't make subpar products.
p.s. If BM had a BL out back when I bought my Zone Offroad one (Polyphthalamide material), I would have bought it. @mrblaine is one of the few people that chooses quality over making a buck by cutting corners and using inferior materials. Thank God for that. It's rare these days.

Well now you've heard it from the horses mouth JKS ...it's garbage....I've replaced both track bars and front sway bar links in 5years..the only thing that has held up is the mml....and it's not that hard to machine a 1" piece of aluminum

JKS uses a squishy material. Their body mount spacer cannot be tightened. That is what causes the movement. The BMB acetal body mount spacer is not squishy. It can be properly tightened the same way an aluminum spacer can be properly tightened. That is the fundamental difference.

Yeah I've torqued it down quite a bit....it quiets them a little but not all the way....? wish I'd listened to Chris
