What did you do to your TJ today?

Okay, gents...I can't hold it in any longer. I've gotta ask: What is the issue with the gap created by the body lift? Doesn't some aftermarket company have a filler panel of some sort that blocks off this space, or fills the gap? Or maybe there's a bumper that has a lip that blocks it off? This "butt crack" issue is the subject of more comments than almost anything else on this forum (well, not really...). Is this the only area where the body lift is so evident, and is it strictly the aesthetics that have folks all twisted? If so, I'm truly surprised that some of the creative minds on this forum haven't come up with a viable solution by now. As for myself, I never even notice it, really. And if I should go the route of a BL, I will be looking at a solution to fill the void it creates if I one day look at it and go "Oh...well that looks like hell!" :D
Purely aesthetics lol. Would be nice if there was something to fill the gap.

The only really aesthetically pleasing solution for a 1inch body lift is to french the body and frame.

I have always loved the look of the rear frame/bumper setups on back halfed Jeeps since I was young.

This Jeep below has a 1 inch body lift...but also, it’s back halfed which entails bringing the frame rails up towards the body and in towards the center of the body to make room for a rear stretch and/or coilovers in the rear.

Obviously it’s likely that one will never see happen on a bolt on Jeep but damn it looks amazingly simple, minimal, and clean.

1 inch body lift and some custom frame changes makes the crack disappear
