2005 LJ rear wheel stud

2005 LJ rear disc brakes
I use 1 inch spacers to get my wheels to be adequately spaced in my flares

The back wheel studs are a little short , Id like to have about 3/8 ‘’ more thread ,
Anyone did this , wich p/n did you use ?

Dorman part number 610-449. They are about 2” total, 3/8” gain.

Be really attentive - you may need longer.

I didn't see any need for longer studs with my 1" spacers.

10 Factory sends those with their Chromoly kits-

They are the same length as the stock Rubicon rear but the problem is a stock Rubicon rear is barely long enough- I have wondered if it’s got something to do with jeep using the studs that were made for the drum brakes on the prior models- that is a guess.

I don’t see any reason for that body bold type are designed to be used on a lug nut.

Exactly right on the latter part- You lose five or six threads that you can’t afford to on a Rubicon

Excellent. Rubi owners need to look close, especially with aftermarket wheels or axles.

Ten Factory admitted the error and gave me studs , plus 2 free axles. First class service.

I guess it's too late for me to worry about it now (7 years). My heavy wheels/tires would have broken something by now.

I think stock gets the job done but if you have aftermarket axles with tapered studs you’re going to get in trouble-

I will add @Jerry Bransford runs extended reach studs and guys that wheel hard need to look at those.
