What did you do to your TJ today?

Drove it to get parts for my other vehicle.

My LJ has had the hard 1-2, and sometimes 2-3, shift issue when cold for some time now. I would disconnect the battery, or even use my scanner to tell the PCM to do a re-learn sequence. It would work for a few days, or even a few weeks, but the cold hard shift always returned.
I finally accepted that I was in denial, and called Wranglerfix. In spite of me interrupting his holiday, Mark got one of his PCMs shipped out to me post haste. 10 minutes after it was in my grubby little hands, it was installed and my LJ was purring.
If Mark's PCMs are anything like his customer service, I'm sure this Jeep will be running and shifting smoothly for a long time.

My problem was finding a torx wrench big enough to get the last bolt out!
Not really liking any of the hood lock options I decided to install an alarm instead. I bought the Megalarm 3000II from Amazon for $40. This alarm has everything but I only wanted to have hood and door open triggers so I de-pinned all the un-necessary wires from the harness and just left the hood input, doors input, power, ground, siren and LED. The siren is LOUD!. I mounted the module on the AC duct behind the passenger speaker with double stick tape. This puts it close to all the connections under the hood and behind the glove box, the longest wire I had to run was over to the driver's door.
Installation was very easy. The siren fits on the wheel well in front of the battery and the LED fits thru a drilled hole in the defrost vent cover. To wire the doors I just pulled out the switches and tapped the yellow wire, for the hood I used a grounding hood pin switch and drilled/tapped a hole up front and double secured it with a nut underneath by removing the headlight and reaching in. (The kit didn't include a hood pin but they are easy enough to find). I passed my wires thru the firewall gasket where the AC and heater lines come thru and connected everything up behind the glove box.
If you wanted to you could install the light flashers, power door locks, engine immobilizer and car jack feature but I didn't want all that crap under there plus I already have my hidden kill switch. I am very careful where I park and this is just a measure to slow down or stop someone from taking advantage of a quick opportunity. The dash LED sometimes is enough to make them move on. At night my Jeep is hidden behind locked steel gates in my yard.

After I finished the alarm I treated the Jeep to a first aid kit. I read some older threads on putting one together but decided to buy this one from our local Miller's Surplus as it is a good kit with decent quality stuff. I finished it up by adding a few more things of my own. The small size is perfect for the small TJ. Amazon has the larger 2.0 kit but I wanted it small and Millers had the 1.0.

Same price shipped to my location also. Ordered a set from my local Toyota dealer a few weeks ago and haven't heard anything. So I'll see which one comes first. If I end up with 2 sets no big deal for the money.
Do yourself a favor and swap that pouch out with a Pelican or HF knockoff waterproof case. Then add some strips of glow in the dark tape to the sides.

Looking for just the connector for a stock fog light. I can only find pigtail options. I have new lights and don't want another connection if i don't have to have one.
My new-to-me OEM radio arrived today, so I plugged it in, connected the battery and confirmed it turned on, made noise, and the buttons worked.
Then I disconnected the battery again and did the TSB 25-005-13 Rev-A rewire. That was a little nerve wracking. I think I read and walked through the TSB instructions about 3 times before I made the first cut. I put it back together with ratcheting crimpers, waterproof shrink-wrap butt connectors, and covered it all with some Liquid Tape. No pictures, sorry. I was too into the work (afraid I'd lose my place) to take breaks for shots.
For the radio, I reconnected my Bluetooth module and the antenna, locked it all down, then put the dash all together and took it for a test drive.
Good news: The radio works. Good to great reception and sound. This was nice.
Bad news: I think the lights on the lower half of the radio are inoperable. Basically the row of channel numbers and the left side buttons. (Highlighted below.)
I honestly can't remember if these highlighted buttons light up or not. If someone wants to post a picture of OEM radio lit up in the dark, I'd appreciate it. (I want to be sure I'm not wrong before I contact the seller.)
When I went for the test drive, I still had the blinking CEL at startup. I doubt that drive had enough time/variables to reset the whole emission monitoring system. So who knows. (At least it runs?)
I was hungry and the wife was ordering pizza. It'll have to wait until later to get the OBD2 treatment.

I'd need to dig through my orders with them, I think the fog plugs may be similar to the ones I used to attach my Auto-Lite horn.

Nevermind.
I went out and took the old radio apart. Sure enough, there's little lights along that stretch of circuit board.
When I put a flashlight to the corresponding holes on the faceplate, the buttons light up.
Message sent to the seller. We'll see how this goes.
I have an extra one of those OEM head units and the CD changer it operated if this one doesn’t work out for you.
I might be interested. I don't know how long it will take them to respond, or what they'll say. PM me if you want it gone.
I don't even use the CD part. Just the radio and Bluetooth via an an add-on module plugged into the head unit's backside.

I did see that thread. But thats for the pigtail. If possible i want to avoid another connection point. But if it has to be then so be it. Thank you for your time by the way
