Are you wheeling in Missouri? Go to https://www.modot.org/child-safety-seats for a minimum requirement. If another state look at their laws.Bit of background so doesn’t seem odd why asking this when have owned LJ for few years. I am from Missouri but located in Manila PH for several years now. We bought LJ with plans to use it on regular trios to states and then Covid. PH was locked down super tight and my work (clinical trial management for vaccines) went crazy. So March will be our first time for family wheeling trip.
With that out of the way, my daughter is 6, 25kg, 123cm (55lb, 4ft). What precautions do I need to take to keep her safe?
Booster seat (?) and if so is one you recommend.
Any extra safety rules or things I should teach her before we hit trails?
Be sure seatbelt is on at all times. Teach her why you are doing things, and explain so she understand… but make it fun and interesting. Maybe put some side quests in; looking for certain bugs or plants… keep her engaged in the trip.
This is a some good stuff!
Kids are the reason I ended up in an lj, coming from toyota pickups.
I just keep the back part of the booster in for my kids, who are both under 8. I need to get on the jk rear seat back project for the headrests.
I bought a JK rear seat lie 2 years ago with that plan. To many other projects for @LJonloan to finish.
Under a Jeep and no dirt falling on his face? Seems staged.
As I said earlier, MUST bring candy!
