The screen material arrived. It's very very close to what CrawlTek programmed into their CNC.
Close enough for the small opening I cut.

You're missing something... or someone...

He looks so angry! Busy plotting your demise, I’m sure.
Are you using the crawltek inner fenders too? Also for the highlines, I received a small pile of several sizes of new stainless steel hardware with a black oxide coating to replace most of the bright hardware they supply and to attach all the existing inner fender components.
Following Blaine's lead on his installations, I plan to face the bolt heads down where I can to reduce the visual clutter in the wheel wells and hide the exposed threads and nuts in the engine bay.
And without the angry family guy monkeyMine will hopefully look similar to this, but mostly black.

Earlier this week I learned from Blaine of a very good tailgate skin that is at least as good as the original Savvy design was before it was changed to a one size fits both early and late TJs. I ordered one the next day!
Here is an example of the current Savvy one size fits both, where the holes for the latch and key are cut oversized to fit the different positionings of the early and late tailgate.

@sunnysideup_lj is now making specifically cut early and late skins that have no gap around the latch and key.

In this design, the key hole is a precise size and location and the latch sits on top of the skin. The result is that no body color is visible other than the outer perimeter.
Here is Savvy on top of SSU to show the hole size differences.

And the two skins side by side.

I have both at the moment, but will be using the SSU version in the future when the spare tire gets relocated into the bed.

After a few evenings of staring at the CrawlTek screens compared to the piece bought to match but didn't, I had an epiphany.
I noticed on the screens for the inner fenders that the spacing between rows was a bit wider than the spacing between holes. I dug out the second pair of CT screens for the outer fenders and found that the pattern is different! And this pattern perfectly matches the symmetrical pattern of the piece I bought.

Which means the patterning on the inner and outer fender screens are not the same.

Do with that what you will.
Damn it, you've ruined my view of my jeep.
Time to throw it away!
