Has anybody installed rock lights on their TJ yet? I ordered a pair off of amazon and they finally showed up! They are the RGB ones, where you connect your phone and pick the color..l was wondering where you folks put them at, and what app you ran to control the lights! Thank you!!

If you are using them as actual rock lights, then you want to position them so that they light up the ground, not the Jeep. Keep them out of the wheel wells where they don't do any good. Boring old white is best. :)

Lights for lighting up the rocks beneath you. They are useful for those that wheel at night. Otherwise, they are ricer mod. I have a bunch on mine, but never use them. :)

I am! Haha I will be doing my fair share this year of rocks, in Iowa there isn’t much for “crawling” more so mud bogging (witch I’m not into-mud is a total nightmare to clean) I was fortunate enough to be going on some fun off-road trips, and they said they had lots of space on the trailer so of corse I’d bring my TJ along!

I did something similar to derekmac, except that I tapped into the dome lights so i can see where I am stepping out onto at night. I just bought a roll of LED strips that were waterproof off amazon. Also, if anyone is looking to do this, the dome lights under the dash switch on/off the ground to the lights, so run the neg side to the actual dome light wiring, not the pos side.

I actually want to wire mine up that way now.

Great idea! I have a spare relay and switch position for these lights so they can be optional.

I didn't even use relays, as the strips draw next to nothing as far as power, but I also replaced the lights under the dash with a strip on each side. Made a world of difference, and I'm going to re do the one on the rollbar when I get different speaker pods.

I put 6 evenly spaced (2 per side & 2 in back) white led clearance lights underneath out of harms way. I call them my “snake lights” so when I deer hunt in the early am I can see when I am stepping and see to lace up my snakeboots.
