I'll be honest, I HATE the 3rd Brake light I have currently (pictured). It is the Rugged Ridge ring behind the spare tire. It is almost identical since I have the same wheels, only in black.

I'm looking for something smaller that can go behind the tire. I don't like the ones that replace the spare center cap. What do you have?

I've been toying with the idea of buying a Feniex Quad or using one of the dual color Fusions I have laying around. I'd fab a mount for it and have the red set on low power steady burn and connect the power to the brake light wire. I'd set the white function to steady burn high power and either have it wired to a switch, or connect it to the reverse light wire.

It'll have to wait until I get around to getting the Moryde kit and reinstalling a spare though.

That's been one of my main thoughts for a third brake light. Just not sure how to mount it with the spare tire.

My initial thought it to fab a bracket to connect it to the tire carrier similar to how the factory light is mounted, but smaller. Without any of the in place on my jeep though, I can't really get any further with the idea. But I've also considered fabbing a mount for the hardtop above the glass.

I may swap out my rear VFD response light with a quad duel set up. That could work as a third brake light.

Not behind the tire , but I’ve been happy with these that I made up pretty cheap and put in the two open lug lug nut holes on the spare.

I also added a little flasher to it too later on.

This is another route I had considered, but felt like it would be a hassle to deal with during tire rotations or when needing the spare. Probably not as big of an issue as I make it in my head, but it's kept me trying to come up with other ideas.

Do you have a link for it and a picture how it is mounted?

What license plate mount is that? I'm not satisfied with the mount I have for it either.

Fabbed my own license plate mount with 3/4" flat bar, .188, with two 1/4-20 tapped holes. Light was from Amazon. Couple LEDs down but no aquarium yet.

I’d say 20 seconds or less and I can have both lights in or out.

I bought a 2” LED light/ housing from NAPA for $10, cut a 1” piece of pvc pipe and rtv’d the whole thing to the tire carrier lined up with the center hole in the spare. I’ll look for a pic or two
