The shafts are fine, the u joints just don't last. I even put a small tack weld on the caps. They didn't move in the yokes.

Did you flop like Mike and need a new rig, or is this something other than your TJ with Long Arms? I thought you had ultra-wide JK axles there.

No, he has. 9" and a Ford Dana 44...

Dana 44 out of a F250 which has the thicker tubes and it's a high pinion axle.

Nope, same one. Been close a couple more time since. Lol was really close to doing a wheelie flop in the Toyota last year. Stood on It's ass for a while too. Beer was not involved.

I’m hoping to get up in the mountains in a couple weeks for a day drive. Obviously most trails are impassable this early, but are there any lower elevation trail recommendations within ~2 hours of Denver? Around Breck, Idaho Springs, or Fairplay maybe?

Above Idaho Springs going up Virginia Canyon Road is a large network of easy trails. A lot should be clear by now.

Buena Vista is 2 hours away. The four mile area is clear and a good choice as well.
