Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

You mentioned running a couple coolant flushes on install. Are you planning to have the block channels flushed by any local shops?

No I'll just try to flush it in the doorway and then once it's running I'll run some coolant flush thru it before I put coolant into it. I forgot to take some pictures of the thermostat but it was down right NASTY... I'm not impressed at all with the work done by the shop that did the conversion. I thought I was a HACK... And they charged money for their work.

At least mine’s on the road…

Sometimes... I can recall a few times it wasn't. But it's OK you still have that little 4.0 in your Jeep...

Shots fired!!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

He's a youngster... He'll learn...

I'll bet that @NashvilleTJ knows what I'm going to be doing to my engine...

Nothing as extreme as what he did to his. Mine will still be a little 5.7 (345) instead of stroking & boring it to a 6.4 (392). But there are still a few things that can be done to allow it to make a little more power.

Give it time. I’ve only had the rig for a year.

I know where you can get a stroker kit for a 5.9..... And a block too... ;)

They say a wise man learns from the mistakes of others…

I've never been a wise man... And I don't learn from my own mistakes quickly... But I do learn...

If we all gave up after one setback then none of us would get anywhere. And I'm not tearing into this engine as deep as I did my Magnum...

I’ll take a straight six 4.6 stroker to go please.

We joke around, but I think we all just want to see this rig on the trails.

Can't help you there....

Hell I just want to see this thing done... I'm tired of working on it all the time. I'd like to take it out and break some shit.
I'm confident that I'll have it on the trails some day... Just not going to say WHEN anymore.

For some reason I expected this reply!

Call it a technical reference manual then 😂

Really? You must be figuring us old guys out then....

Still a manual.. I used one on my Magnum and look how that turned out... Maybe I should just wing it...

If you were a real man you'd do wiring without referencing the wiring diagram too 😏😂

So the headlights come on when I turn on the wipers and the wipers come on when I turn on the left turn signal? And the brake lights work when I hit the high beam?

PSC power steering pump & bracket for the reservoir are ordered and will be here next week.

Parts from FRP are being shipped today.

I've got a 2003 long block and 2001 intake and exhaust manifolds that I'd be willing to part with if you want to build your own stroker or use as a core... I haven't bothered to look any further than the collapsed exhaust lifter and bent intake pushrod on #3 cylinder.. only 155xxx on the long block...

TBH, I am so far away from an engine swap… Need to iron out the other parts of the build first.

I will 100% keep you in mind though, maybe next year..

Finally found some cooler line adapters for the transmission.

These have a 6AN fitting which is perfect for the cooler lines I wanted to run.

Got a shipping confirmation from FRP for the engine parts so I should have most everything I need NLT Thursday next week. I've got another 2-3 days of work to do on the donor rig to get everything off that I need. Then I'll push it outside and get my TJ back into the shop.
PSC was great and are sending me the power steering pump & pully.
The only item I'm still needing is a Premier Power welder alternator but I'm waiting on JeepSpeed to see if he can find the used one that he has is a storage unit/trailer. I can run it on the stock alternator to get it running & then install the PP alternator once I get it. And I've still got to start acquiring the A/C parts if I plan on installing A/C. The condenser & pump are the two main parts I'll need to start with and then can build a system once the Hemi is installed and running/driving.
Got a bunch of pie cut pieces for building a exhaust but @reddvltj sent me a link to some cool options.
